Do I need to know anything about wine?
Just what you enjoy. A few simple choices help Valmont learn your taste. The Nod reads the list and explains its recommendation in plain English.
How does it read a wine list?
Find your restaurant in the app, or photograph a wine list. Valmont matches the wines to your palate and shows the price from the list. Recommendations depend on the list and information available.
What can I do without a subscription?
Valmont Free gives you 5 Nod messages a day, 5 bottle scans and 3 wine-list pages a month, and a cellar of up to 10 wines. No card required.
What does membership include?
Everything in Free, with no limits: unlimited Nod messages, bottle scans and wine-list reads, an unlimited cellar, and pronunciation.
How does the free trial work?
Eligible new subscribers receive 7 days free on the Monthly or Yearly plan, or 3 days free on Weekly. After the trial, your chosen plan renews at the price shown at purchase unless cancelled. Check the app store purchase screen for your local price, eligibility and offer.
What is Lifetime?
One payment of £124.99 for everything in Valmont, with no renewal. If you already subscribe, buying Lifetime does not cancel your subscription; it keeps renewing until you cancel it in your app store settings.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription through the app store where you purchased it. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the deadline shown by your store. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account; you keep Free access.
Can I keep a wine collection and journal?
Yes. Keep the bottles you own in your cellar, and the wines you’ve tasted in your journal. On Free, your cellar holds up to 10 wines; Valmont and Lifetime remove that limit.
